Bishop Casey Selects the First Tree from the Irish Guide D o g s Association
The Irish Guide Dogs Association expand their Operation.
For the last 5 years the Association has successfully sold Christmas Trees. T h e proceeds go in total to the training of G u i d e D o g s for t h e B l i n d . This year the Association is pleased to announce that M a d d e n s N u r s e r i e s have handed their Sales Area in Taylor's Hill to the Guide Dogs Association. It is hoped that this new outlet will facilitate people in the West side of City. As always they will be selling at the usual outlet in M c D o n o g h ' s P o u n d , Lower Merchant's Road. Despite new competition this year, the Association hopes that its worthy cause would secure the usual support Galway people have given in the past. Our picture shows Bishop Eamon Casey with his tree and M r . T o m Langan with his dog Harvey. Also in the picture: John Mangan and Mike Shine of the I.G.D.A. Galway Branch
