May 1st will see the opening of Galway's newest seafood restaurant. Ray and his wife Tina are the proprietors of Galway's newest eating establish ment. The Olde Galway Seafood Restaurant is located on High Street, on the first floor above The Bunch Of Grapes. The restaurant, which seats about 30, provides the i clients with a very imtimate atmosphere. Excellent food and friendly service will be top priorities | in the restaurant, which employs a staff of five. Ray | and Tina intend to concen trate on seafood dishes, I although there will be a small selection of meat dishes also | available. The menu is extensive, two examples I being lobster cooked in leek and white wine and served with cheese sauce and hot oysters cooked in lemon juice, bacon and bread crumbs. This restaurant is obviously a must for lovers of seafood. "We will buy the best of fresh local seafood produce and prepare it to a high standard," states Ray. Dinner and lunch at reasonable prices will be available in the restaurant. A comprehensive selection of wines is also available. A meal at the restaurant is a must for all those weary housewives who need a break from the stove every now and again, as it is for single people who need a tasty meal in relaxing surroundings. Proprietor Ray Garland has gained much experience whilst travelling and working in Austria, Spain and Germany. Ray has spent the last 8 years as head chef in the Ardilaun Hotel and as , such has become well' known in catering circles, earning an excellent reputa tion. Tina Garland who will also be working in the restaurant has spent a number of years i training in the Shelboume Hotel, Dublin. Having left the Shelbourne, Tina work ed extensively in the cater ing field in America. More recently Tina was employed as manageress in The Malte House Restaurant. Ray and Tina's objective is to serve their customers | with the best of Irish food products, all cooked to, perfection. The Olde Galway Seafood . Restaurant will be open' daily 12.30--230 p.m. and 7.00--10.30 p.m.
