Mr. Haughey paid his first official visit to Galway last weekend, staying at the Great Southern Hotel, making forays into the County to meet supporters and make new ones. He opened a new An Oige Hostel at Invfrin but despite speculation was not recorded as a 'Galway Citizen' on Census night as he returned to Dublin on Sunday evening.
