The people of Galway city and county will have two appropriate books, beautifully bound, pre sented on their behalf to the Holy Father. The Borough Council are presenting James Hardiman's renowned History of Galway which is bound in blue leather with a gaelic warrior and hounds as an attractive motif. The County Council are presenting O'Flaherty's lar Chonnacht, a history of the West of Ireland with an early map of Connacht inlaid on the green leather cover. These two books will be presented while the Holy Father is in Galway; but there will also be a presenta tion in M a y n o o t h on October 1st.
