Reception for 'Raleigh' Retailers
A presentation for dealers from all over the West by a management team from Irish Raleigh Industries Ltd. took place in the G r e a t Southern Hotel, G a l w a y , on Wednesday, September 23rd. Following a dinner at which M r . Eric P a r k i n s o n , managing director, and M r . J o h n Beatty, sales director, spoke, dealers were given a film presentation of the R a leigh Christmas promotion advertising campaign. T h i s was followed by a n u m b e r of films on sales training m a d e by the R a n k O r g a n i s ation. T h e new range of bicycles and wheeled toys for Christ mas were also demonstrated. I n addition, dealers were shown the first range of R a leigh D r e a m l i n e baby p r a m s which are now being intro duced for the first time in Ireland.

Last T h u r s d a y evening an exhibition of Patricia Burke's paintings opened at the T a v e r n , Eyre S q u a r e . M i s s Burke, who lives in R e n m o r e , has been a member of the G a l w a y A r t C l u b since its re-organisation in t h e early 60's. S h e has been exhibiting very successfully at the A r t Clubs A n n u a l Exhibition at the Patrician Brothers School H e r paintings of local scenes are very popular.
