ANTIQUE FAIR

The first group of youngsters of this year's summer school activities were awarded certificates by Galway schools' soccer and Gaelic football academy on Friday. The academy's aim is to develop the youngsters' football skills in an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment rather than competition. All of the children were awarded certificates , and 10 potential stars of the future were awarded special prizes of footballs and gloves .They were: David Hurley and Eanna Geraghty; Cathal Murphy, Dillon O'Connor, Colm O'Flaherty, Rory Dempsey, Eva Gilmore, Serena Swaine, Damien Belton and Aaron Murtagh. The certificates and prizes were presented by

ex-Bray Wanderers and Galway United Wesley Charles and Galway footballer Michael Meehan. The activities remain in St Mary's grounds until

the end of this week and will be moving to the astroturf pitch in Oranmore on July 14 to 18 when it will be open daily from 9am to 1pm. The coaches are Sean

Armstrong, Cillian and Sean Og DePaor, Maurice Sheridan, Martin Horgan , Robert Grealish, Ger Curran, and Eoin O'Mahony.
