FASHION TIPS WITH DELILA BOUKKAZ

Pink detailed smock top available at Monsoon

Question: I have just coloured my hair red and now nothing in my wardrobe suits. What colour do you recommend?

Q:

general guidelines to 40 plus ladies, what to avoid, etc. I believe that you should show your individuality and confidence through your style. If you haven't found your signature look, maybe it's the right time to find it. Is your style classic, romantic, dramatic, etc? Or have you several signature looks? Avoid wearing clothes that are too short or too tight, and try not to overdo it with make-up and accessories. Instead, try to be more confident and at ease with your style. Choosing the right colours is definitely a must, as it will make you look radiant and younger. Don't hesitate in using accessories and jewellery to introduce more colours. Your hair, make up, and skin care also have to been mastered. It is maybe time to indulge and get help. My last advice would be to avoid following fashion and stick on the style.

Q: Can you give some recommendations or A:

Try the following colours: Red, green, yellow, navy, stone, cream, teal, apricot, and purple. Each of these colours has a variety of shades from lighter to darker. The colour will suit you depending on your skin and eye colour. To find out which one flatters you best put a sample near your face and see the contrast. Do you look fresher and younger? If so, then it suits you. If you look sick, washed out, or tired, then the colour doesn't do anything for you and you should avoid it. There are more colours that you can experiment with, so it is always worth trying.

I am 13 months pregnant and I don't want to start wearing pregnancy clothes. What should I wear instead? I suggest you try a smock style top and team it with trousers or a skirt with an elastic band. An empire-line dress will do for a couple of weeks. If you haven't got any in your wardrobe then you can buy one or two pieces, no more as you won't need them for long.

Make your smile a bright one at Galway's exclusive dental spa
BY JESSICA HIGGINS The weather may not be too bright this summer, but your smile can be! A white smile is important, and Smiles Dental Spa specialises in both general and aesthetic dental services. Situated in the heart of Galway city, Smiles has a bright and friendly environment, with a modern twist. Most people are scared of going to the dentist and visualise it as being both a gloomy and painful experience. Although Smiles specialises in cosmetic dentistry, it is also a general practice. All the dental professionals at Smiles have a wealth of experience in carrying out a full range of dental procedures. Smiles is the only provider of dental spas in the country, it also has offices situated in Cork and Dublin. It is completely different from any other dentist, and before Smiles, the words `dentist' and `stylish' really didn't go together. Although it is modern and chic, the professionalism of the dentists is of an exceptionally high standard. General manager Louise Mitchell and the rest of the dental staff at Smiles make clients feel at ease by operating on a personal first-name basis, and making the experience as relaxed as possible. They talk all their clients through the treatments, as well as breaking down the price of any work needed. Their main aim is to make customers feel comfortable, as well as providing them with a five-star treatment. The spa provides excellent treatment with unique state-of-the-art technology, all equipped with flat-screen televisions to make each person feel as relaxed as possible. One of the newest technologies that has been introduced in the spa is Invisalign, the latest way to straighten your teeth without big metal braces. Invisalign can give you perfectly straight teeth by using a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners. The best thing is, no-one will know you are wearing them. Each set of aligners is worn for two weeks to a month, being removed only to eat, drink, and brush. You can still take care of your teeth, while repositioning them with the aligners at the same time. The team at Smiles provide a full service of dental treatments, from cleaning and polishing, to root canal and denture repairs. They also provide aesthetic treatments such as teeth whitening and veneers. The team make going to the dentist a much less daunting experience, and put to rest the notion that all dentist visits are traumatic. Most of the treatments in Smiles are covered by the Government's Dental Treatment Benefit Scheme, and tax relief is also available. The spa also has a full medical card service. Make your next trip to the dentist a pleasurable one, and have a smile that stands out from the crowd. Smiles Dental Spa is situated on 21 Middle Street.
