Fahy Travel excels at travel awards
Galway based Fahy Travel Worldchoice excelled at the recent Worldchoice Conference, once again cementing its place as one of Ireland's top travel agents. Fahy Travel Worldchoice received awards from American Holidays, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Topflights Ski, Silversea Cruises, Need a Hotel, and Caribbean Collection. Teresa Flannery won the top sales consultant for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, while Caroline O'Toole won the top sales agent for Caribbean Collection. Fahy Travel Worldchoice was also named best overall Worldchoice agent. For the last decade as part of the Worldchoice travel group (Worldchoice is a grouping of independently owned travel agents that have joined forces in a bid to bring even great choice and saving to customers), Fahy Travel has been offering customers in Galway city and county top class service. As a founding member of Worldchoice Fahy Travel has been committed to offering a higher than ever level of product and service to its customers. Maura Fahy, MD of Fahy Travel Worldchoice, and former Chief Executive of Worldchoice Ireland Ltd told of what it means to be part of Worldchoice today: "We are now in a position to review our suppliers and their products annually. We have a much stronger voice as a group than we could on our own. Take our insurance, for instance, we have been able to negotiate improved cover on our policies and we compare our entire product on an ongoing basis to ensure that we have the best quality and price in the market place." Fahy Travel's corporate department is also a founding member of Globalstar, the corportate equivalent to Worldchoice. GlobalStar Travel Management is a worldwide partnership of leading travel management companies that look to provide corporations that require travel, or travel related services, with the best service possible in today's marketplace. For years Fahy Travel has been serving the corporate travel sector, and today is the only corporate travel company in Galway. Maura added, "We take pride in the high level of efficiency and service provided by our consultants." More information on Fahy Travel's corporate department is available from www.fahytravel.ie/corporate Meanwhile Fahy Travel are currently renovating their upstairs offices to develop their wedding and honeymoon business. There is an increasing num-
ber of people getting married abroad and Fahy Travel now have two sales consultants dedicated to this business. Maura added, "We are also developing a website for `honeymoons and weddings' to assist couples with their travel arrangements".
