Coeliacs are kicking gluten to touch tonight
The Western Branch of the Coeliac Society of Ireland has been re-instated and are back kicking gluten to touch. They are holding their first information session tonight (Thursday October 25) at 7pm in NUIG. The session will be addressed by Siobhan Quigley (dietician) and Ray Silke (Galway Advertiser columnist) and will be held in AM200 Fottrell Theatre in the college. The theatre hall is situated in the Arts Millennium Building near the Hardiman libary. All coeliacs, their families and friends are welcome to attend. Refreshments, gluten free of course, will be available afterwards. However, no doggie bags are allowed.

Pictured from left at the West Cork Taekwondo Championships at the weekend are Galway taekwondo stars Damien Saternus (who won second place sparring) and on the right, Evan Liu (second place in patterns and third place sparring). Both train under yaekwondo instructor Shane Fitzgibbon (ITF World Champion 2007) in Ballybrit and Oranmore. In the centre is their supporter Daniel Liu.
