Remmigiusz Walus (37), 11 Derryknockane View, Ballyamin Village, Raheen, Limerick, pleaded guilty to being drunk and a danger to himself and others at Kinlay House, Eyre Square, Galway, on July 26 last. Inspector John Galvin said that when charged Walus asked, "Have you nothing better to do?" The accused, he said, had become annoyed when cleaning staff at the hostel where he was staying while in Galway woke him up at around 7.15am. Defence solicitor Adrian MacLynn said Walus was a busker who specialised in playing the ukulele and he also had an interest in Italian and classical music. Mr MacLynn said his client became irate when woken up so early.
