Medical News, Dr Browne claims that, despite

repeated requests for the form, he has not received his P45. He has also sought a letter of dismissal as part of his application so that he may apply for unemployment assistance. " The Social Welfare Department will not process my application without receipt of a P45. Needless to say, my family is now dependent on me and the State as I'm made unemployed," he told the Irish Medical News. The doctor added that despite his repeated applications to the HSE he has not received any reply from the organisation. HSE West, when contacted about the matter, said that it will not comment on individual cases. An Irish Medical

Organisation official has now protested to the HSE West about the delay and the issue has been referred to the Office of the Ombudsman. Dr Browne, from India, is married to an Irish woman and has a fouryear-old son. He has worked for the HSE West and the former health board on continuous fixedterm contracts since July 2001. Dr. Browne was taking part in a psychiatric training scheme at UCHG. He is now considering filing an unfair dismissal action and an equality tribunal action. The doctor who failed to complete part one of his MRC Psych examination, claims that this was due to the quantity of work demanded from his service commitments in the region and personal family commitments.
