Your comforting presence, your gentle caring touch, your quiet words of encouragement, all of this we miss so very much. Your selfless nature you always showed, to all kinds of people young and old. But it's your friendship, Bernie, we miss most of all, for you were a true friend, always there to support the fall. The most giving homes are not those where there has been no sorrow, but those which have been overshadowed with grief, and where Christ's comfort was accepted. Dave You gave us years of happiness, then sorrow came with tears, you left us beautiful memories, we will treasure through the years. If only we could write the words our hearts long to say, if only we could verse our thoughts we feel inside each day. We only know we miss you, Dave, with every breath we take, and words alone are not enough, to stop this constant ache. No words can tell, no tears can express, the love, the loss, the emptiness. So young to die, so precious to lose, it was God's will, we could not choose. And so today we say a prayer, that God will let you know, how lonely life is without you, Dave, and how we miss you so. May the God of love and mercy, care for dear Dave who has gone, and bless with consolation, we who are left to carry on. Dave God called your name so softly, that only you could hear, and no one heard the footsteps, of angels drawing near. No one knows the grief we bear, when we all meet and you're not there, we laugh, we talk, we play our part, but behind our smiles is a broken heart.
