Having celebrated his Gold en Jubilee in the world of mens clothes two years ago, Seamus O'Brien moved into Unit 6 at the Centre with his Mans Shop last year. Realising the potential of a personalised Mans Shop in the province he opened in Athlone in 1963, which has grown from strength to strength. In 1970 he was nominated by the Irish Menswear Council to represent the Midlands in the 1971 Style Forecast Committee. Liam McClintock, who is Manager of the Mans Shop in Galway started his career with the firm nine years ago. This young man has distinguished himself on the menswear scene in the Midlands being well known for his neat appearance and keen sense of dress. This is exemplified by the fact that he designs his own suits.

Vast Selection of Fabrics
Nimble fingered ladies of fashion will be delighted at the vast stock of fashion fabrics at Unit 10 in Galway Shopping Centre. All that the ladies could ask for in striped, plain, floral, traditional and modern designs in Trivera, Polyesters, Crepes, Chiffons, Satins and Crimplenes provide a kaleidoscope of colour in this haven for those of individual taste and where tweeds and trimmings are also stocked. The couple behind this are Vincent Jordan and his exteacher wife, Mary, both of Charlestown. Vincent gained his experience with Arnotts in Dublin before opening the first Fig Leaf Fabrics Shop in Castlebar two years ago.

The Leisure Shop
The Leisure Shop has some thing for everyone! Books to curl up with, greeting cards that are sure to please, lollies to lick, and toys for kids of all ages, and that can include even Grandads. In other Dublin Centres there are four other similar shops in this highly successful chain, which can't be d i e d just a sweet shop though they have sweets, or simply a newsagent although they have all the papers, and it's not a tobacconist though there's cigarettes galore. So wide and varied is the range of merchandise in the ^.eisure Shop that it is difficult to specify exactly what's stock ed in this 1,800 sq. ft. premises at 24 and 25, facing out onto the main Headford Road, at Galway Shopping Centre.
