`Art in Mind' exhibition opens in Ballinasloe
BY MARY O'CONNOR An exhibition of watercolours and drawings by trainees with the Health Service Executive Western Area (formerly the Western Health Board) will run at the Bank of Ireland, Ballinasloe until the end of the month. The event, which features landscapes and portraits, is the work of of Paul Boyle and other artists include Mary Connolly, James Cahill, Ann Quinn, John Curtin, Kevin Staunton, Rose McKinney and John Reilly. A spokesperson for the HSE West says it is well worth viewing. "It covers a wide range, from landscapes to portraits and includes some wellknown faces. There are also still life and nature scenes." Entitled "Art in Mind", the event which opens today (Thursday) will run until May 27. It coincides with the visit of 24 service providers and service users from the mental health services in Chalones-sur-Loire, France. They are spending a week visiting the HSE West.
