Fiftieth Galway Chamber/Oyster Festival Shop Window Competition
Galway Chamber would like to congratulate the committee of the Galway Oyster Festival for once again hosting an incredibly successful festival in the city. We would also like to congratulate all of those businesses which took part in our shop window display competition as part of the 50th Galway Oyster Festival. The businesses who dressed up their windows were: Mike Weerakoon Collection, Old Malte Arcade, Park House Hotel, Tigh Neachtain, Simon Community Charity Shop, Twice as Nice, The Kings Head, Tempo Antiques, Bold Art Gallery (Winner), The Collection, The Malt House Restaurant, The Connacht Tribune, Kilkenny Shop, Druid Lane Restaurant, Carl Scarpa, and Deacy's Fish Shop. The winner received the Chamber of Commerce perpetual trophy and a travel voucher from Fahy Travel. All entrants received tickets for the Big Tent!

Gym Manager/Duty Manager
Leisureland, Salthill, Galway consists of a 35m pool, warm up pool, leisure pool and waterslide. It has a large multi-purpose hall suitable for shows, concerts, exhibitions etc along with franchised restaurant and shop. An outdoor amusement park operates on a concession basis throughout the summer season. We are currently going through the planning process for the development of gym, sauna and steam room facilities. Applications are invited for the position of Gym Manager/Duty Manager. Duties will include the setting up/establishment to the Gym facilities, its day to day operation, together with overseeing of the other facilities on site. Candidates should have relevant qualification Leisure Management/Fitness Instruction together with relevant experience in the management/supervision/programming of gym facilities. Ideally candidates should also have experience in the supervision/operation of pool facilities including pool plant. Candidates should be IT literate and possess good iniative and communication skills.
