Jaguar - back on track, but not F1
Jaguar Cars has announced details of a comprehensive business plan that will reshape the company, but a casualty of its restructuring seems to be the withdrawal from Formula One. In addition, Jaguar's parent company Ford has reported to have its sports engine maker Cosworth up for sale. "We (Ford) are withdrawing from Formula One at the end of the season," Ford vice-president Richard ParryJones told Reuters in a telephone interview. Parry-Jones, in charge of Ford's F1 programme, said the US car giant could no longer make a compelling business case for any of its brands to compete in Formula One and had taken the "difficult decision" to quit.
