GALWAY CHILDREN can look forward to something special from March 2 5 to 3 1 when the adventures of the young St Patrick will be performed in the Town Hall Theatre.
A Tribute to Spike Milligan
GALWAY WILL pay tribute to the late, very great, Spike Milligan, when Bedlam Theatre Company present A Tribute to Spike Milligan on Monday March 18 at 9pm. The tribute will be performed in Padraig's Place Performance Centre, Padraig's Place Bar, 2 New Docks Road. Featuring some of Galway's best comedy performers, including Pat Carlton, Ciaran Davies, Grainne Moore, Duncan Lacroix and Sean Maguire, it promises to be an evening of laughs galore, exploring some of Spike Milligan's most hilarious and outrageous material. This will be a perfect wind-down to the St Patrick's weekend festivities. The performance promises to be a fun-filled evening not to be missed. Arrive early to ensure obtaining a seat, as space is limited.
A i s l i n g G h e a r , the Belfast based t h e a t r e group w h o specialise in Irish language and bilingual productions, will perform The Saint Patrick's Pantomime, which sees the young and unsaintly Patrick journey to Wonderland.
It's a bit like Alice in Wonderland, and Patrick meets snakes, the Hatter Mire (Mad Hatter), Tweedeldee and Tweedeldum and various other characters. It's full of music with puppets and g o o d acting and i t ' s certainly a novel take on
the Saint Patrick story. The pantomime will be p e r f o r m e d on M o n d a y March 25, Tuesday 26, Wednesday 2 7 , and Thursday 28 at 10am and 12 noon each day. Friday is a day off and then on Saturday March 30 and Sunday 31. The shows are
