Call for extra w a t e r s c h e m e funding
CONNEMARA COUNTY Councillor Sean O'Neachtain said this week that he hopes the small group water schemes in the Gaeltacht area will get extra funding from the Department of the Environment. Cllr O'Neachtain said he hopes the funding will come via a special grant aid package which can be authorised by the department. "Schemes in areas such as Boluisce, An Spideil, Rosmuc, Doire Choill, and Camus are dependent on special grant aid due to the low number of houses in the scheme. "1 have raised this matter on numerous occasions with the Galway County Council and I am now hopeful that extra grant aid per house will be provided, which will allow the group schemes to develop," he says.
