Fianna Fail North East Ward candidate, Sean Nolan is concerned over the increased number of itinerants in the Ballybane/Castlepark area of the ward. The population is made up of many elderly people and they are experiencing great difficulty and danger cross ing the road. Meanwhile Woodquay residents are complaining to Mr. O' Connor about the exterior condition of the Town Hall Cinema. "They are concerned about the dilapidation of this fine old building which belongs to the people of Galway."
David Joyce, Republican Sinn Fein candidate in the North East Ward has ap pealed to young people to come out and vote in large nubmers for tomorrow's Local Elections. M r . Joyce who at 27 is the youngest candidate in the city claims the main parties have paid lip-service to youth issues, while "being delighted to see the back of us when we emigrate".
