Because Doug Kennedy and his wife, Bernie, take safety seriously, beginning on Monday, May 14th, they are offering the Galway public a unique opportunity to come in and get expert advice about their tyres.
ACTCO T Y R E S is located right up the Race Course road, between the Tuam and Monivea Roads. It's a very impressive operation, with all the very latest equipment for en suring that your tyres get absolutely top-class, topquality attention. "We've put a premium on quality and personalised service for our customers", says Doug. "Over the years, since we first opened ACTCO in 1981, we've introduced the very latest in tyre ser vice". They were the first to introduce, six years ago, a large tyre-fitting machine which is able to handle anything from trac tor wheels to massive dumper tyres. As well, they have a machine which fits solid tyres which is used by firms like Roundstone, Cong Quar ries, Lackagh rock, and Henley Forklifts. Most impressive of all is the Balco Computer Balancer. This is the latest, state-of-the-art tyre balancing facility, and is the only one in the West of Ireland. It is able to ascer tain the correct balance for all sorts of vehicles, from motorbikes to highly sophisticated sports cars. It is equiped to deal with normal balancing, four dif ferent kinds of alloy balan cing, static balancing, and Optimatch - the ultimate in tyre balancing. It's worth taking a trip to ACTCO just to see this incredible piece of technology in operation. Just in case you run in to difficulties on the road, ACTCO now has a special ly equiped service vehicle that's all set to deal with any thing from a tyre breakdown to fitting on a new tyre. Now that's service!
