Headbangers' heaven with two metal gigs on the way
BY KERNAN ANDREWS EXTREME METAL and punk fans have a lot to look forward to when Britain's Army Of Flying Robots and Florida's Grabass Charlestons play Galway next week. Army Of Flying Robots will bring their grind/death metal to Richardsons, Eyre Square, on Sunday at 8.30pm and with their ultra fast blast beat drums and guttural vocals they make Slayer sound like Brian Kennedy! Support is from Burning The Prospect and Ballina's Exploded Face who have just launched their debut2 EP. Admission is 5 before 9.30pm and 6 afterwards. Grabass Charlestons will play a free show at Sally Longs on Wednesday at 9.30pm. They have been compared to the Stiff Little Fingers and the Dropkick Murphys. Coheadliners are Black Cougar Shock Unit from Georgia while support is from Galway's finest hard hitting alternative trio The Ghostwood Project.
