Tow away illegally parked cars in disabled spots says Walsh
BY KERNAN ANDREWS It is unacceptable for anyone but the disabled to park in disabled parking spaces and those who break this law must be towed away. This is the view of Fine Gael's Cllr Brian Walsh who is calling on the Galway City Council to implement the laws it agreed with councillors in relation to this matter. Following June's local elections, there was an agreement between City Hall and a number of councillors to amend the clamping laws and restrict how and when clamping could be carried out. However, cars driven by able bodied drivers but parked in disabled spaces will be towed away. "The councillors spoke to the former city manager John Tierney about this," said Cllr Walsh. "We insisted that if a car is illegally parked in a disabled spot it could be towed away, and that's especially important on a Sunday when there is no clamping in operation." Cllr Walsh says he has received numerous calls from the public on this issue and that he will be meeting with Tom Hernon, the council's director of services for transportation, to insist that the towing away be enforced. "It's unacceptable," he said, "that able bodied people are using spaces for disabled drivers."

"I cried when I saw how much weight I'd lost"
Hairdresser sheds 6 stone and 7 dress sizes after she gives up on failed diets
Nicky McKinstry finally found the perfect diet. She lost a staggering 7 dress sizes and more than 6 stone. After failing on so many others, why did she succeed with the just4weeks programme? Why was it so easy and why do so many Doctors and Nutritionists recommend it? They do so, because the programme is based on the Glycaemic Index and years of scientific clinical trials have proved that it works.

Read her amazing story and then discover for yourself how you can eat delicious food without feeling hungry. Discover how to lose weight, fat and inches without willpower and the need for exercise.

"I had always been overweight and had tried every diet going. None of them worked. Because if I did manage to lose any weight, I found it impossible to keep it off. As a result, I always ended up heavier than when I started. So when I first read about the `just4weeks' Low Glycaemic diet, I was really sceptical. But, as soon as I found out about all of the hidden sugars in low-fat foods, it made so much sense. Understanding the Glycaemic values of food, meant that the penny finally dropped. It hadn't been my fault at all, I had simply been eating the wrong foods. The truth is, just4weeks is the easiest and most cost effective system I have tried. The entire programme, including Omega EFAs, cost me less each week than I used to pay just for my slimming classes alone. "

"My local classes were great. I got great help and motivation and the body composition analysis each week was brilliant. It showed me how much body fat I was losing, not just weight. The dream for me had always been to buy a size 16 off the rack and here I am now, fitting into size 10 trousers."

"Instead of a desperate and tearful size 24, I am now a happy, slim-line size 10 for the first time in my adult life. When other diets didn't work, I kidded myself I was happy to be fat. But that was not true and the best part now, is that I know I will never be fat again. The tears now, are tears of joy."
