THE HOME PAGES
This elegant three bedroom residence on Long Walk will be offered for sale in a public auction on Friday February 4 at 3pm in the Great Southern Hotel, Eyre Square. Long Walk is one of the most sought after residential and historical locations in Galway city just behind the Spanish Arch overlooking the Claddagh basin where the river Corrib meets the sea. Teach Bui has recently been refurbished by the current owners yet retains its original character and charm. This is immediately evident when you step inside the hall which is painted in neutral white and soft pink with polished wooden floors. The living room is warm and welcoming with an original cast iron fireplace with antique pine surround, pine ceiling with feature wooden beam, recessed spot lighting, and picture window overlooking the Claddagh Basin. Glass panelled double doors lead through to the dining room which retains the original stone wall as a feature. The dining room adjoins the kitchen which features a wooden floor, fitted pine units, gas hob and oven, and tiles

Oranmore Dairies Old Galway at its finest sells for 3.4m
Oranmore Dairies, part of the Arrabawn Group has been sold by auctioneer Martin Tyrrell for 3.4m. The property which stands on approximately two acres of land was purchased by Galway solicitor Kieran Murphy on behalf of a development group. Treacy & Company solicitors in Nenagh had the carriage of the sale. The proximity of the regional airport, Galway city, and the main Galway/Limerick road were important factors in finalising the deal according to auctioneer Martin Tyrrell who also emphasised the growing importance of Oranmore and the steady commercial and residential development in the area which he forecasts will continue for many years. Several parties were interested in the Oranmore property and enquiries came from all over Ireland. The runner up bidder was from Waterford.

over the worktop. Externally to the rear is an enclosed yard which is accessed from the dining room. The owners have continued the neutral look upstairs with white carpet on the stairs and landing. Two of the bedrooms include a distinctive arched ceiling with recessed spot lighting adding ambience to the rooms.

A third bedroom and bathroom complete the accommodation upstairs. Rarely does a property become available in this prestigious area on the water's edge; it is one of the last opportunities to acquire a part of Old Galway. For further details or viewing phone Keane Mahony Smith (091) 563744.
