Enjoy the luxury of Waterford Castle
A mere five minutes from Waterford city, Waterford Castle offers a chance to break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The island haven offers a calm retreat combining a 19 bedroom 16th century castle hotel, an 18 hole golf course, and Castle Gardens self catering accommodation. The resort is located on its own private island and access is via a chain link ferry. The island boasts an 18 hole championship golf course, which offers a unique golfing experience as Ireland's only true island golf course. Castle Gardens' architects and interior designers have combined cutting edge design, technology, and glamour to achieve something very desirable indeed. These wonderful three bedroom semidetached lodges, set on the beautiful island, are stylishly fitted out and have a spacious open plan kitchen-dining area with adjoining living area. Upstairs there are three bedrooms each with its own balcony. Each lodge has its own patio area with furniture; the gardens are open plan but have been landscaped to maximise your privacy. Each of the kitchens is fully fitted, but the castle also offers sumptuous dining experiences at the Waterford Castle Hotel and golf clubhouse. The Munster dining room combines the character of the 16th century castle with modern day cuisine. The golf clubhouse boasts a full menu offering a more casual dining experience. Both menus have been created by executive head chef Michael Quinn using the best of local produce from the southeast region. Either of these locations can be reserved for private parties along with any of the Waterford Castle Hotel's meeting rooms. Menus and daily itineraries can the tailored to meet each guest's needs.
