Christmas GIFT GUIDE

November 15 2007

Make your Christmas party more exciting by choosing a theme
BY MAGDALENA SZULC You're organising a Christmas party for your co-workers and you're killing yourself trying to make it perfect. Don't worry; you'll get everyone excited about the party before it even starts, provided you pick a theme your colleagues will all stick to, including yourself of course. Don't impose anything on them though, try to get everyone involved in coming up with a suitable theme. Themes are countless when you think of them. Some might prefer themes where getting costumes is quite easy, whereas others think the bigger the challenge, the more fun at the party! Let your guests have unforgettable fun and forget it's actually work that brings you all together. Consider the wild west, the glamour of Hollywood, the roaring 20s, hippie 60s and 70s, James Bond movies, famous monsters, or even cartoon characters. You'll be truly surprised once you get everyone to brainstorm their own ideas and you'll have a great range of themes to choose from. Anything goes! You can also think of dressing up as a tribute to one of your favourite bands (perhaps there's one band most of you and your colleagues like in particular). This could be followed by all of you actually performing as the band in question! You can also spice up the evening with a performance by professional dancers. Karaoke is also a great way to entertain your guests, providing everyone with heaps of fun and bellyaches from laughter. Get to work!
